BIBLIOTECAS ESCOLARES DO 1.º CICLO PREPARADAS PARA A REABERTURA

As Bibliotecas Escolares das Escolas Básicas do 1.º ciclo da Cova da Piedade, Caranguejais (Cova da Piedade N.º 3) e Cataventos da Paz, encontram-se preparadas para a reabertura, após o período de confinamento em março passado.

Reorganizadas de forma a respeitar as medidas de segurança impostas pela DGS, as Bibliotecas Escolares apresentam-se, neste momento, como um ambiente seguro para os seus leitores e utentes.

As primeiras atividades, inseridas nas comemorações do Mês Internacional das Bibliotecas Escolares (outubro), consistirão, na sua essência, em ...

... formação de utilizadores, apresentação do plano de atividades, leituras de boas-vindas, atribuição aos novos alunos dos cartões/números de leitor e mais algumas surpresas.

Ano letivo 2020-21 nas Bibliotecas Escolares

Mais um ano letivo está a começar e, como sempre, grandes desafios se colocam a toda a comunidade escolar. Neste ano, os desafios são redobrados porque enfrentamos a pandemia do Covid 19. 

 As nossa bibliotecas estão a preparar-se para receber os seus utilizadores, adaptando os espaços e redefinindo algumas regras de funcionamento. 

Deixamos neste post o acesso aos documentos mais importantes produzidos nesta fase do arranque das atividades.

The Environment - trabalhos em confinamento

No âmbito do tópico "The Environment", na disciplina de Inglês,explorou-se diversos vídeos e sub-temas. Propôs-se aos alunos a produção de uma apresentação em que deveriam utilizar os verbos modais para chamar a atenção para diferentes problemas ambientais e propor soluções. Ficou assim incorporado de forma criativa e natural um conteúdo que deixou de ser mais um.

Os alunos apresentaram trabalhos de qualidade, apresentando-se aqui um exemplo deles, desta feita pela mão de Alexandre Lagos,nº1, da turma 3 do 7º ano, da Escola D. António da Costa.

Note-se que para a presente publicação houve lugar a autorização prévia da EE.

No seguimento de outros posts em que a biblioteca escolar disponibilizou o seu espaço de comunicação privilegiado que é este blogue, também agora se está a dar visibilidade e destaque aos trabalhos de Inglês dos alunos de 7º ano que, em tempo de confinamento, conseguiram realizar bons trabalhos no âmbito curricular, desenvolvendo temas de grande importância com recurso a ferramentas digitais. "Making a Difference" em Pandemia

A biblioteca escolar acolhe e disponibiliza sempre os seus recursos físicos e digitais para os projetos das turmas e das disciplinas.  Neste momento de confinamento em que todos desenvolveram um grande esforço de adaptação no desenvolvimento da atividade curricular e na realização de trabalhos criativos com recurso a ferramentas digitais colaborativas, constitui uma grande alegria tornar públicos alguns trabalhos neste blogue, tendo em vista a sua divulgação e valorização e, também, como incentivo ao desenvolvimento das diferentes literacias e à abordagem de temas de tão grande importância. Professora e alunos estão de parabéns.

Os trabalhos que se apresentam foram realizados na Escola D. António da Costa, no âmbito da disciplina de Inglês, como abordagem ao tópico "Making a difference".

Explorou-se com os alunos o website das Nações Unidas sobre os objetivos para o desenvolvimento sustentável como mote inspirador para o trabalho dos alunos. Os discentes poderiam usar estes objetivos ou outros que considerassem importantes para fazer a diferença. Teriam de produzir frases, utilizando uma estrutura gramatical lecionada, para exemplificar como poderíamos fazer a diferença e atingir os objetivos.

O trabalho foi realizado numa ferramenta colaborativa, o Google Slides, que foi apresentada aos alunos como forma de poderem trabalhar em conjunto no presente quadro que prevê o distanciamento social. 

O resultado foi bastante positivo, apresentando-se aqui a título exemplificativo, alguns produto finais, indubitavelmente merecedores de destaque. Note-se que para a presente publicação houve lugar à autorização prévia das respetivas Encarregadas de Educação.

Star Wars VII Film Review

This new Star Wars movie is great, it is not obvious neither expected, although the story has big similarities with the other movies. For that reason, it is nostalgic and it is also fresh due to the new characters and most of the story. When I saw this movie, I created big expectations about its sequels. From 0 to 10 I would give this movie a 9.

Review of Minecraft’s soundtrack

Although people usually think videogame music is bad just because it’s from a videogame, if you listened to some of the songs from this soundtrack without any context, you’d probably never think it was from one.

It lacks the usual energetic melody and rhythm most videogame music has, and seems to have been made more to create ambiance and relax the listener than anything else.

This soundtrack has little to no percussion but a lot of piano, most of it sounding either calm and somewhat sad, or calm and somewhat tense at the same time, while also having some upbeat tracks.

It’s the kind of music you can feel like listening to no matter how you are emotionally, or even look out the window while listening to it and think it fits the view most of the time, and personally, I find that amazing.

It was composed by Daniel Rosenfeld (better known as C418), who made a name for himself because of it, due to how popular and beloved the soundtrack became.

Overall, I think this “album” is incredible and has something for every taste, even if you don’t like videogames, making it even better.

Rick and Morty Review

My Review

Rick and Morty is a brilliant, madcap animated series whose plot is based on the adventures of Rick, who's an eccentric and alcoholic mad scientist, and Morty, Rick’s 14-years-old grandson who's an easily distressed boy traveling to other planets and dimensions through portals and Rick's flying car.

In my opinion, Rick and Morty, is an outstanding series, being the consummate contemporary comedy. It is basically a Back to the Future parody and I think it is the best animated series ever made for being very funny and having a lot of references to other films and series.

Film Review of Joker

Joker is a film that can surprise us due to the way that the character plays his role, as the film review says “(…) a haunting performance (…)”. This also intended to pass a message that all jobs are important, no matter what, and you cannot judge a person by their jobs.

This film is very cool to watch because the main actor has a disease that many people don’t know and for the actor to play that role is impressive “(…) Phoenix is a certified legend.”

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Film Review

Film: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring directed by Peter Jackson.

The Lord of Rings is definitely one the greatest movie that I ever seen! This movie has a really amazing storyline, a wonderful cast, special effects, unbelievable fights and battles, and incredible scenes. Besides the plot, one of the things that I really enjoy about the movie is the well-done costumes and the breathtaking locations. The movie has something for everyone, because has a little bit of everything. In my opinion, it is a really smart and well thought movie.

Hunger Games- book and film review

There are a lot of books, movies and music that I like, but I can't say that there is a movie, a book or a song that I consider to be my favorite. For me, the title "favorite" is relative, because I may want to see, read or hear something at one time and something else at another time. This also changes with age. I can love a song now and 20 years from now I hate it and think "how did I like it?”. All this to say that what I am going to talk about in my work is not necessarily my favorite, but it was good enough for me to have put it here.
I'm going to talk about a book, or rather, a trilogy of books, which even became films. I'm talking about "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. In short, the main character, Katniss Everdeen, and another boy, Peeta Mellark, are drawn to participate in the "Hunger Games", a competition organized by the Capitol, a dictatorial government, which dominated 12 districts and requires that, annually, each district grants two young people to participate in this competition where only 1 can survive. Both survive (which is against the rules), get in trouble, the districts fight against the Capitol ... A lot happens. I advise the teacher to read if you haven't read it, or to watch the films, which are also good.

Avengers: Endgame Review

Endgame starts with the story in the middle and tries to follow up on the unexpected outcome of the first film like a staggering reminder. The story unfolds along a strange path that does not seem to make sense at first, but which turns out to be crucial to the plot. I did not expect to find several happy and important coincidences that serve to advance the story.

There is a lot of interaction between the characters we love, there is always an attempt to balance exposure with comedy and there is a constant search for balancing so many known stars on the screen at the same time

The fact that I love Avengers Endgame so much is because it marks the end of a line of exciting films that will be part of my memories for the rest of my life.

Interstellar -film review

Interstellar is the best film I have ever seen. Interstellar is a science fiction/adventure film.           
It is an exciting and thrilling film. Interstellar is a muscular, ambitious film with bang-per-buck visuals that broadly makes up for the moderate acting and toenail-extracting dialogue.

I loved the movie because I really like astronomy. It deepened my more interest in the universe and inspired me to want to learn and study astronomy.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is the picaresque story of a simple man. In my opinion, everything about this movie is amazing. The storyline is both simple and complex, the humor is really well written and thought, so there are no awkward moments and the cast projects an astounding amount of emotion. The best thing about this movie is definitely the main character, Forrest. In the beginning of the film it is said that he has a low IQ but that doesn’t stop him from being anything. The fact that he accomplishes so much being so simple is beautiful. I think the best adjective for the film is beautiful. I love the soundtrack, the visuals,  and how the story keeps itself impartial to things like politics, suicide, war and destiny although it does refer to it. Each secondary character represents an American idea and the feather we see in the beginning and in the end of the film represents the discussion between if we’re all meant to do/be something or not. This film is incredibly deep and emotional but it can be seen as just a funny interesting film. Anyone can love it. History just wouldn’t be the same without it.

Reviews em quarentena

No âmbito da unidade "Arts and Culture" de Inglês do 9º ano de escolaridade, solicitou-se aos alunos das turmas 4 e 6,  da Escola D. António da Costa, que vissem/lessem/ouvissem o seu filme/série/livro/álbum preferido e pesquisassem críticas a esses mesmos itens. Ao ler deveriam retirar as ideias e vocabulário que considerassem mais interessante e verificar se entendiam os mesmos, apresentando não só a crítica e a fonte, mas também a tradução das expressões. Numa segunda fase solicitou-se aos discentes que produzissem a sua própria "film/series/book/album review" com especial ênfase para a opinião (não tanto para datas/atores....) integrando o vocabulário que tinham destacado. O resultado foi muito interessante, destacando-se aqui alguns dos trabalhos, uns mais longos que outros, mas com uma mensagem forte. Aliou-se a competência de pesquisa à da produção, sempre tendo em mente os interesses dos alunos. Aqui inclui-se o texto dos alunos e a referência às críticas consultadas. Todos os trabalhos publicados foram devidamente autorizados pelos Encarregados de Educação.

As alunas estão de parabéns! Merece a pena conhecer o seu livro Pequenos Grandes Heróis.

Tal como dizem é "Um pequeno livro que vem abrir uma porta aos mais pequenos no mundo das doenças autoimunes enquanto lhes ensina o poder da amizade nestas situações."

“Brinquedo das Aparências”, escrito por Carlota Branco Simões, do 11.º Ano CT1

O conto de que é autora revela muita qualidade literária, pelo que merece ser destacado.
